When ultrasonic level meter is transmitting ultrasonic pulse, liquid level meter can not detect the reflection echo at the same time. Because the transmitted ultrasonic pulse has a certain time distance, and the probe has residual vibration after transmitting the ultrasonic wave, the reflected echo can not be detected during the period, so a small distance starting from the probe/sensor surface downward can not be detected normally, this distance is called the blind area. If the highest liquid level to be measured enters the blind area, the meter will not be able to detect correctly and error will occur. If necessary, the liquid level gauge can be elevated to install. Ultrasonic level gauge blind area, according to the different range, the blind area is different. Small range, the blind area is small, large range, the blind area is large. But generally it is between 30cm and 50cm. Therefore, the blind area must be taken into account when installing the ultrasonic level gauge. When the liquid level of the ultrasonic level gauge enters the blind area, the position of the liquid level corresponding to the secondary echo is usually displayed.
