Vortex flowmeter can be divided into stress type, strain type, capacitance type, heat sensitive type, vibration type, photoelectric type and ultrasonic type according to frequency detection.
Overview of Application:
Vortex flowmeter is mainly used in industrial pipeline medium fluid flow measurement, such as gas, liquid, steam and other media. It is almost not affected by fluid density, pressure, temperature, viscosity and other parameters when measuring the volume flow, but it is not suitable for the fluid with low Reynolds number (Re≤2×104).
Advantages:
1. Simple and firm structure;
2. A wide variety of applicable fluids;
3. High precision;
4. Wide range.
Disadvantages:
1. It is not suitable for low Reynolds number measurement;
2. long straight pipe section;
3. Low meter coefficient (compared with turbine flowmeter);
4. Instrument in pulsating flow, multi – phase flow is still lack of application experience.
