Preparation before installation
Selection confirmation: Select the right type of ultrasonic heat meter according to the flow range, pipe diameter, temperature range and other parameters of the actual use scenario. For example, in the heating system of small residential buildings, the heat meter is usually selected with a small flow range and good pipeline adaptation; In the heating system of large commercial buildings, a heat meter with a large flow range and high precision is needed.
Check the integrity of the device: After receiving the ultrasonic heat meter, carefully check the appearance of the heat meter for damage, including the meter head, sensors and other components. At the same time, check whether accessories are complete, such as sensor cable, installation bracket, etc.
Installation procedure
Select the installation location:
It should be installed in the pipeline system where the water flow is stable, no bubbles, and no impurities. Avoid installation at the top of the pipe (easy to accumulate air) and the bottom (easy to precipitate impurities). Generally, the side of the pipeline is selected, and the upstream and downstream have a long enough straight pipe section. Generally, the upstream straight pipe section requires more than 10 times the diameter of the pipe, and the downstream straight pipe section is more than 5 times the diameter of the pipe, which can ensure the stable flow state and reduce the measurement error.
Consider the temperature and humidity of the installation environment. The ambient temperature of the normal operation of the heat meter is generally between -25 ° C and 55 ° C, and the humidity cannot be too high to avoid moisture damage to electronic components. At the same time, it is necessary to avoid installation in areas with strong electromagnetic interference, such as near large motors and transformers.
Install sensors:
Clean the surface of the pipe installation location to ensure that it is smooth, clean, and free of rust, paint, etc. Then install the sensor on the pipeline, the sensor is generally fixed on the pipeline through a special fixture or welded base, to ensure that the sensor is in close contact with the pipeline, and the direction of the sensor is correct. For external clamped sensors, it is necessary to apply enough coupling agent to ensure that the ultrasonic signal can be transmitted well.
Connect the cable of the sensor to the corresponding interface of the meter head, pay attention to the identification of the interface, to avoid incorrect connection. The connection line should be fixed to avoid being pulled by external forces.
Installation of the meter head: The meter head can be installed on the wall near the pipeline or in a special instrument box. The installation height should be easy to observe and operate, generally about 1.5-1.8 meters from the ground. If installed in the instrument box, ensure that the box has enough space for heat dissipation, and should be sealed to prevent dust and moisture from entering.
Use and operation
Power on and commissioning: After the installation is complete, turn on the power and the heat meter will self-check. In the self-test process, observe whether the display screen of the heat meter is normally displayed and whether the indicator light is normally lit. If there is a fault code or abnormal display, check the manual in time.
Parameter setting: According to the actual heating system parameters, set the relevant parameters of the heat meter, such as pipe diameter, fluid type (usually water), temperature sensor type, etc. The correct setting of these parameters is essential for the accuracy of the heat measurement.
Reading and recording: After normal operation, the heat meter will display the heat value, flow value, water temperature and other parameters in real time. These data can be read and recorded on a regular basis for purposes such as heat settlement, system monitoring, etc. For example, in the case of heating metering charges, the heating cost of the user is calculated based on the heat data recorded by the heat meter.
Care and maintenance
Regular inspection: Check the appearance of the heat meter regularly to see if there is damage, water leakage, etc. At the same time, check whether the connection of the sensor is strong and whether the coupling agent is invalid (for the external clamped sensor). It is generally recommended to perform a monthly visual inspection.
Cleaning and maintenance: Keep the hot meter head and sensor clean to avoid dust and dirt accumulation affecting the measurement accuracy. You can use a clean soft cloth to wipe the display and housing of the watch head, and for the sensor, if there is dirt, you can use an appropriate cleaning agent to clean, but avoid damaging the surface of the sensor.
Battery replacement (if battery powered) : If the heat meter is battery-powered, replace the battery in time when the battery is low. Generally, the heat meter will have a reminder of low battery power, and when replacing the battery, it is necessary to operate according to the requirements of the manual and select the appropriate type of battery.
