Ultrasonic flowmeters measure the flow rate by firing an ultrasonic wave into the fluid and measuring the time it takes for it to travel through the fluid. Since there is a simple mathematical relationship between flow rate and flow rate, the flow rate can be calculated using the measured flow rate value. At the same time, ultrasonic flowmeters do not cause interference or pressure loss to the fluid, and have low requirements for the physical properties of the fluid, so they are widely used in the flow measurement of liquid and gaseous media.
The installation and commissioning methods of ultrasonic flowmeters will vary according to different brands or models, and generally need to be operated in accordance with the instructions of the equipment purchased. The following are some common ultrasonic flowmeter installation and commissioning steps:
1. Determine the measuring point: choose a suitable position to install the flow meter, ensure that there is no messy object in the position to block the flow, and the length of the straight section of the import and export pipeline is enough.
2. Install the sensor: Properly install the sensor on the inlet and outlet pipe, and fix it tightly with buckle and bolt. Pay attention to prevent vibration of the sensor, and connect the sensor correctly according to the instructions.
3. Connect the monitor: Connect the monitor to the sensor, and set parameters according to the instructions, such as flow rate unit, flow unit and alarm threshold.
4. Flow calibration: Open the flow meter and the medium flow, according to the instructions for flow calibration. Usually need to input media type, temperature, pressure and other parameters, and then automatic or manual calibration.
5. Debugging inspection: After the calibration is completed, it can be run for a period of time and observe whether there is abnormal data output or fault alarm, and carry out necessary debugging and inspection.
6. Regular maintenance: Ultrasonic flow meters need to be cleaned and maintained frequently, to avoid dirt or corrosion into the flow meter, regularly replace the battery or maintenance equipment.
