Ultrasonic flowmeter

As ultrasonic waves travel through a moving fluid, they carry information about the velocity of the fluid.  Therefore, the received ultrasonic wave can detect the flow rate of the fluid, which can be converted into flow rate.  According to the detection method, it can be divided into different types of ultrasonic flowmeters, such as propagation transit-time method, Doppler method, beam offset method, noise method and related methods.  Ultrasonic flowmeter has been applied with the rapid development of integrated circuit technology in recent years .

Non-contact meter is suitable for measuring fluid and pipe runoff which is not easy to touch and observe.  It can be connected with the water level gauge to measure the flow of open water flow.  The use of ultrasonic flow ratio does not need to install measuring components in the fluid, so it will not change the flow state of the fluid, no additional resistance, the installation and maintenance of the instrument can not affect the operation of the production pipeline, so it is an ideal energy saving flowmeter.

As we all know, industrial flow measurement generally exists the problem of large diameter, large flow measurement is difficult, this is because the general flow meter with the increase of measurement diameter will bring difficulties in manufacturing and transportation, cost increase, can increase the loss, installation not only this disadvantage, ultrasonic flow meter can be avoided.  Because all kinds of ultrasonic flowmeters can be installed outside the tube, non-contact flow measurement, instrument cost basically has nothing to do with the diameter of the pipeline under test, and other types of flowmeters with the increase of diameter, cost increases substantially, so the larger the diameter of ultrasonic flowmeters than the same function of other types of flowmeters, the more superior the functional price ratio.  It is considered to be a better meter for measuring large pipe runoff. Doppler ultrasonic flowmeter can measure the flow of two-phase medium, so it can be used for the measurement of sewage and sewage flow.  In power plants, the portable ultrasonic flowmeter is much more convenient to measure the large pipe runoff such as the water inlet of the turbine and the circulating water of the steam turbine.  Ultrasonic flow juice can also be used for gas measurement.  Pipe diameters range from 2cm to 5m, from open channels and culverts a few metres wide to rivers 500m wide.
