The installation of the clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeter is the most simple and convenient of all flow meters, as long as you choose a suitable measuring point, input the pipe parameters at the measuring point into the flowmeter, and then fix the probe on the pipe. In order to ensure measurement accuracy, the following principles should generally be followed:
1. Choose a pipe segment filled with fluid, uniform material and easy to ultrasonic transmission, such as a vertical pipe segment or a horizontal pipe segment.
2. The installation point should be fully away from interference sources such as valves, pumps, high voltage and frequency converters.
3. Avoid installation at the high point of the pipeline system or on vertical pipelines with free exits.
4. The temperature and pressure at the measuring point should be within the working range of the sensor.
5. The two sensors of the ultrasonic flowmeter must be installed in the horizontal direction of the axial surface of the pipeline, and installed within the range of ±45° of the horizontal position of the axis to prevent the phenomenon of dissatisfied pipes, bubbles or precipitation in the upper part, affecting the normal measurement of the sensor.
In addition to the above precautions, the external clamped ultrasonic flowmeter should be regularly maintained after installation, such as regularly checking whether the transducer is loose, checking whether the adhesive between the pipe is good, etc., to ensure the long-term stable operation of the ultrasonic flowmeter.
