1. The selection of measuring points should be as far away from pumps, valves and other equipment as possible to avoid interference. It is necessary to measure the flat fluid as much as possible to avoid the measurement error caused by turbulent flow.
2. When the sensor is installed on the horizontal pipeline, it should have a minimum Angle of 20° with the vertical line. To avoid beam interference when gas accumulates at the top of the pipe.
3. Avoid measuring in the Reynolds number transition region.
4. There should be no welding seams, no vibration and no electromagnetic interference sources at the measuring point; Test pipe design parameters should be provided, and the outer diameter and wall thickness of the pipe should be reviewed with calipers or steel tape and ultrasonic thickness gauges on site. In order to reduce errors, the outer diameter and wall thickness of the pipe should be measured at multiple points and their average values should be taken.
5. Pipe should be uniform and dense, easy to spread ultrasonic.
6. The surface of the metal pipe where the transducer is to be installed must be polished 3 times the probe area to remove the rust paint, so that the surface of the pipe wall is smooth and flat, exposing the original surface of the pipe metal and maintaining the original arc.
7. Compared with the liquid ultrasonic flowmeter, the measurement signal is more susceptible to noise signal interference, if the signal-to-noise ratio is below 10:1, it can not be accurately measured. Therefore, before fixing the transducer on the pipeline, in order to reduce the influence of pipeline noise signal on the measurement results, the gas coupling film should be pasted on the outer wall of the pipeline, and the generation of bubbles should be minimized to prevent air, dust and rust from entering; If bubbles are produced, the bubbles should be broken to release the gas.
8. Fully consider the situation of sulfur deposition, scaling and corrosion in the pipe, and choose the pipe section without sediment and corrosion in the pipe as far as possible for measurement.
9. The fixture should be fixed in the central part of the transducer so that it is not easy to slide.
