Float flow meter

Float flowmeter, also known as rotor flowmeter, in a vertical tube with a conical inner hole expanding from bottom to top, the weight of the float is borne by the force generated by the bottom-up fluid, and the position of the float in the tube to represent the flow value of variable area flowmeter.  

Overview of Application:  

Float flowmeter, as a direct flow indicator or field indicator with low measurement accuracy, is widely used in electric power, petrochemical, chemical, metallurgy, medicine and other process industries and sewage treatment and other public utilities.  Float flowmeter is suitable for small pipe diameter and low flow rate. The diameter of common instrument is below 40-50mm, and the minimum diameter is 1.5-4mm.  

Advantages:  

A glass cone tube float flowmeter has simple structure and easy to use;  

B suitable for small pipe diameter and low flow rate;  

C float flowmeters can be used at lower Reynolds numbers;  

D has low requirements on the upstream straight pipe segment;  

The output of the E flow detection element is close to linear.  

Disadvantages:  

A is low pressure resistance, there is A greater risk of glass tube fragile;  

B Most structure float flowmeters can only be used for downward vertical flow pipe installation;  

C When the fluid used is different from the factory calibration fluid, the flow indicator value should be corrected.
