Coriolis mass flowmeter introduction

Coriolis mass flow meter is a direct mass flow meter made of Coriolis force principle which is proportional to the mass flow rate when the fluid flows in a vibrating tube.  Can be used for liquid, slurry, gas or steam mass flow measurement.  

Overview of Application:  

Mass flowmeter not only has high accuracy, repeatability and stability, but also has no blocking element or moving part in the fluid channel, so it has good reliability and long service life, but also can measure the flow of high viscosity fluid and high pressure gas.  Now the automobile with clean fuel compressed natural gas measurement is measured by it, and in petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, building materials, paper making, medicine, food, biological engineering, energy, aerospace and other industrial sectors, its application is also more and more widely. 

Advantages:  

1. Direct measurement of mass flow rate, with high measurement accuracy;  

2. A wide range of fluids can be measured, including a variety of liquids with high viscosity, slurry containing solids, liquid containing trace gases, medium and high pressure gas with sufficient density;  

3. The vibration amplitude of the measuring tube is small, which can be regarded as a non-moving part. There are no obstructing parts and moving parts in the measuring tube.  

4. It is insensitive to the distribution of oncoming flow velocity, so it has no requirement of straight downstream pipe section;  

5. The measurement value is not sensitive to fluid viscosity, and fluid density change has little influence on the measurement value;  

6. It can do multi-parameter measurement, such as simultaneous measurement of density, and thus derived to measure the concentration of solute contained in the solution;  

7. Wide range ratio, fast response, no temperature and pressure compensation.  

 

Disadvantages:  

1. The instability of zero point leads to zero drift, which affects the further improvement of its accuracy;  

2. can not be used to measure low density media and low pressure gas;  If the gas content in the liquid exceeds a certain limit, the measured value will be significantly affected.  

3. It is sensitive to external vibration interference. In order to prevent the influence of pipeline vibration, the installation and fixation of flow sensors requires high requirements.  

4. It can not be used for larger diameter, currently limited to less than 150 (200) mm;  

5. measurement tube inner wall wear corrosion or deposition scale will affect the measurement accuracy, especially for thin wall tube measurement tube Coriolis mass flowmeter is more significant;  

6. High pressure loss;  

7. Most Coriolis mass flowmeters have large weight and volume;  

8. The meter price is very high
