For our QSD6537 sensor, it is two ways to measure liquid level by pressure sensor and ultrasonic sensor .
When it works, only one way can be set for level measurement either pressure depth sensor or ultrasonic depth sensor .
It means they can’t work at the same time. Level measurement method can be set by RS485 communication.
If pressure sensor is set to measure liquid level, QSD6537 sensor without calculator is no pressure compensation function, the accuracy may be not good . So you need to do extra pressure compenstion .
If ultrasonic sensor is set to measure liquid level, that would be ok. But there are some limits for liquid measurement by ultrasonic technology. When the liquid is too dirty or water is very deep, the ultrasonic signal cannot be transmitted. If the fluid fluctuates too much, the ultrasound is not as stable.
Pls note: QSD6537 sensor is just optional for RS485 modbus or SDI-12 output, the two outputs cannot be chosen simultaneously.
